Embodied Integral Sessions Descriptions

  • Nomali Perera: Moving Into Empowerment By Taking Responsibility

Nomali Perera: Moving Into Empowerment By Taking Responsibility

In these highly polarizing culture wars, we often find ourselves stuck in specific roles and views that are hard to shake. This keeps us hooked in what Stephen Karpman in 1961 called the "Drama Triangle." Together, we will explore the work built upon the "Drama Triangle" by David Emerald and discover how we can move toward a more empowered domain that lifts us beyond being stuck in the negative loops of the victim, persecutor, and rescuer roles.

  • Holly Woods PhD: Navigating Our Wild Future: Becoming an Emergent Being

Holly Woods PhD: Navigating Our Wild Future: Becoming an Emergent Being

As we become radically whole, we align and enliven ourselves, using our creative life force to navigate an uncertain future and live beyond our wildest imagination. This series of four short experiential workshops will be based on cutting-edge frameworks, models, and practices developed by Holly Woods, PhD, over 40+ years of study, life, and practice. Dr. Woods has conceptualized the Involutionary-Evolutionary Flywheel™ to depict the transitions within developmental and spiritual frameworks and practices. Through her own evolutionary journey and her work with clients, she has devised a 4-pillar model that facilitates our integration and embodiment of the Involutionary-Evolutionary Flywheel™:

Pillar 1: Reclaim and integrate our radical whole selves into our human bodies

Pillar 2: Align with the unique expression of our souls and what matters most to become living portals to the future

Pillar 3: Amplify our creative life force as an expression of our evolved selves to create emergent innovations the world needs now

Pillar 4: Become WildCreators through an alliance with the earth

Holly will guide us through four workshop sessions with representative practices as part of this revolutionary collective experience.

  • Lisa Norton: Circadian Health: Unlocking Your Body's Inner Clock

Lisa Norton: Circadian Health: Unlocking Your Body's Inner Clock

We will explore the fascinating quantum science of circadian rhythms and how they significantly impact our overall health and well-being. Discover how your body's internal clock influences sleep patterns, metabolism, mood, and immune function. In this interactive session, participants will learn and share what's working in their daily rituals. To make these practices real, we will have sunrise viewing parties, high noon sunshine breaks, and sunset viewing parties.

  • T Poling: We-Space: Beginning and Continuing Our Journey

T Poling: We-Space: Beginning and Continuing Our Journey

As a newly-formed collection of persons about to embark on a journey together, we will explore our individual and shared responses, viscerally and somatically, of gathering for the first time. We will experiment with moving from our subjective body experiences to those shared in the intersubjective space between and among us. What are we experiencing in our bodies and intuitively in our guts? Where is there excitement? Where is there fear and contraction? How does this experience inform our intentions for the weekend? What do our shared experiences tell us about our intersubjective space, collective interests, and intentions for our two-day journey together? T will use guided meditation and imagery for this session

  • Michael McElhenie PhD: Integral Micro-Practices for Optimal Living

Michael McElhenie PhD: Integral Micro-Practices for Optimal Living

In this session, we will engage with small, integrative practices that connect our bodies, minds, and emotions, fostering personal growth and resilience. Drawing from the integral framework, Dr. McElhenie will guide us to explore—during this session and throughout the event—how these practices align with multiple dimensions of our being—physical, emotional, mental, and relational. Together, we will empower ourselves to navigate challenges with greater balance and intentionality. Perfect for those seeking holistic strategies for thriving in complex environments, this session offers accessible tools to embody an integral approach in our daily lives.

  • Navigating Discomfort/Pain : A Journey to Growth and Self-Discovery

    Navigating Discomfort/Pain : A Journey to Growth and Self-Discovery

Co-facilitators Tyler and Bett will lead us in a workshop to understand pain as both a signal and a teacher, helping us discern when to lean into pain for growth and when to move away to avoid harm. Together, we will explore patterns of numbing pain, such as addictions and self-harm, which can block our ability to hear pain's message. We will examine the distinction between acute pain requiring immediate attention and chronic pain, which can serve as a foundation for growth. Through experiential exercises, we will develop intuition to find balance, self-love, and resilience. This workshop will help us transform our relationship with pain and initiate a journey of self-discovery.

  • Mapping Your Arc: Looking Back & Looking Forward

Mapping Your Arc: Looking Back & Looking Forward

Co-facilitators Victoria Perez and Charlie Crutchfield lead this session. We’ve learned together for two days, seeing diverse practices and approaches intended to make a difference in the real world. In this session, our first activity will be to look over what we have learned and find those that are most powerful for each of us through conversation and creative exploration. Then, we will look into the future at applications and what practices we will put in place to lock in the new skills we’ve built. This will allow us to build a practical practice plan that makes our work together the start of a long-term journey rather than going on the shelf as something you saw in a workshop once upon a time.

  • Adam Leonard: Reimagine Your Integral Life Practice in Community

Adam Leonard: Reimagine Your Integral Life Practice in Community

In this interactive session, we will participate in experiential activities such as creative visualization, guided meditation, journaling, and interpersonal inquiry. These activities will help us reflect on the legacy practices that no longer serve us, identify the most valuable practices to continue, and discover new practices aligned with the future potential we envision. Together, we will gain clarity on rhythms of practice—daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and beyond. Additionally, we will share powerful stories about transformative practices that have impacted us most, sparking new possibilities for one another. We will leave this session with an evolved integral life practice blueprint.

  • Deep Self Inquiry: Embodied Integral Shadow Work

Deep Self Inquiry: Embodied Integral Shadow Work: Nathanael Chawkin, M.A.

Carl Jung’s concept of the shadow represents the hidden, often rejected parts of ourselves that unconsciously shape our thoughts and behaviors. Integrating the shadow is a vital step in what Joseph Campbell termed the "Hero’s Journey"—an archetypal path of transformation. In this session, we will explore how confronting and embracing the shadow can catalyze deep personal growth, empowering us to transcend limiting patterns and step into our true, authentic power. Deep Self Inquiry (DSI) is the result of a 20+ year evolutionary process of cross-training in The Work of Byron Katie, the drama triangle (TED), polarity thinking, parts psychology (IFS), Non-Violent Communication (NVC), Immunity to Change (CBT), Gestalt, and somatic coaching.
